By car:

Car parking is available at the church and there is access for people with disabilities with assistance. Access is via a moderate slope from the parking area. The church lies at the end of a Bridleway off Browns Lane, which is part of the modern Peddars Way between South and North Pickenham. Follow the ‘Church Historic Murals’ brown signs. (Satnav use PE37 8FB or PE37 8DP)

By bike:

The nearest SUSTRANS listed traffic-free routes for cycling are at Swaffham. The church is accessible for bikes along a well-made track.

By foot:

The church stands just to the west of the ‘Peddars Way’ national path and is accessible from it by bridleway (5 minute diversion)



At the present time the church is open every afternoon, from 2pm until 4pm, throughout the year - as well as for numerous special events and visits (but in bad weather, for example, please call to check before travelling- 01760 440470/01760 724555)

We welcome visits from tour parties, groups and school parties and can arrange special access in advance. Please contact us if you would like to know more.

St Mary’s is also a ‘chapel at ease’, with services held throughout the year, including blessings.
